Our first website on home exchange, www.HomeExchangeGuru.com, was created in 2008. Our goal was to provide detailed and independent advice on vacation home exchange. We have changed our name to reflect more ambitious objectives. We want to be the most comprehensive and reliable source for home exchange information. We want to encourage you to consider home exchange as the preferred way to experience travel. It is economical, environmentally friendly, and a great way to meet new people around the world. Home exchange offers a fun and adventurous travel alternative to bland and boring mass tourism.
We have many friends in the home exchange industry, including folks who own home exchange agencies. Two who have helped with our work are Ed Kushins of www.HomeExchange.com and the folks at www.HomeForExchange.com. (Please see the conflict of interest statement below).
In 2008 we published a book, the HomeExchangeGuru.com guide to Trading your Home. You can learn more about the book at by clicking here. You can contact us by clicking here. We’d love to hear from you.
Our focus is on home exchange but we will talk about travel and ways to experience other cultures. From time to time we will promote other forms of travel that can build friendships and create better understanding. These include youth exchange programs and new phenomena such as couch surfing.
